There is not much to it. Filters saturate, fans get dusty, and that is about the whole list.

The usage counter does the remembering

The enclosure counts hours the filter fan has actually run and puts a replace icon on the screen when it passes the threshold, which is 600 hours by default. Idle time does not count.

Reset it on the Settings page after you change the filter. Nothing resets it automatically.

The counter survives power cuts and firmware updates. It is saved every 15 minutes rather than continuously, to avoid wearing out the memory, so pulling the plug can lose up to 15 minutes of runtime.
